This is a blog for Classical Mahjong!

After teaching 8 tables of students (8 tables x 4 legs), 32 students of Mahjong (Cantonese/Hong Kong-style), I think it is time for me to start our Mahjong blog to answer any questions our students have, and to share any feedback and their mahjong play experiences. I am also very grateful that we have two mahjong experts joining me to host this blog. One is Ms. Liu, a long-time (50+ years) mahjong veteran and expert in Hong Kong. Ms. Liu is also a retired Chinese language and literature teacher. I am most grateful for Ms Liu's invaluable advice on my first mahjong book, "The History, Culture, and Everyday Wisdom of Mahjong", which I co-authored with Mr. Peter Michael. Mr. Peter Michael is also on this blog as our Sichuan Mahjong expert. Even if you are not our students, we welcome you to share your knowledge, expertise, experiences, and feedback with us and our community. Questions are welcome. Yet, please be courteous, and do not bring up any topics not related to mahjong. Thank you, and enjoy your mahjong play!
