The Enchanted Apple Tree

“The Enchanted Apple Tree” is a folktale from France. It is the first of three books in the fourth series of the CAMathories™ Folktale Mathematics™ curriculum (One more and one less, 0-5) for 3-4-year-olds. An old woman is greeted one day by a kind stranger who passes by her apple tree asking politely for an apple to eat. The story focuses on one to fi ve, introducing the idea of “one more” to children.
