Ms. JQ offers Mandarin-Math lessons for 3-5-year-olds or Mandarin lessons for ages 7 to 18+ (adult). Ms. JQ is a native Mandarin Chinese speaker and a passionate Mandarin teacher with 8 years of experience helping students master the language.

About

Hello, my name is Qiong Jin. I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker and a passionate Mandarin teacher with 8 years of experience helping students master the language. In the past 8 years, I have made learning Mandarin both fun and effective. In addition to teaching Mandarin, I also teach hip-hop dance classes, inspiring students to express themselves through movement while building confidence and rhythm. As a dedicated trainer, I have provided expert coaching for student hosts for the past 10 years. Each year, I teach students the skills to engage and entertain audiences with poise and professionalism. With a diverse skill set and a commitment to helping others succeed, I am dedicated to fostering creativity and growth in every student.


Teaching schedule

in the United States Eastern Time Zone as follows:

  • Monday through Friday: 9am-12pm

  • Mondays: 8pm-9pm

  • Tuesdays and Wednesdays: 4pm-6pm

  • Thursdays: 8:30-9:30pm

  • Fridays: 4-6pm, 8-9pm

  • Sundays: 2-5pm, 8-9pm.


Fees for one (1) teacher to one (1) student, for online and in-person lessons.

A. The age group of three to five (3-5) years old and six to nine (6-9) years old

USD32 for thirty (30) minutes per student with a parent sitting next to the student.

USD45 for forty-five (45) minutes per student with a parent sitting next to the student.

USD63 for sixty (60) minutes per student with a parent sitting next to the student.


B. The age group of ten years old and up through adults

USD38 for thirty (30) minutes per student with a parent sitting next to the student.

USD50 for forty-five (45) minutes per student with a parent sitting next to the student.

USD72 for sixty (60) minutes per student with a parent sitting next to the student.


If the venue of teaching is over ten (10) minutes of driving from Summit, NJ, $5 commuting charge will be added for each additional 5 minutes of driving.

Students can come to Summit to attend the lesson without commuting charge.

For in-person classes, before making payment, please email info@camathories.comย to see if there will be an additional cost for the teacher's transportation.


Rescheduling policy

Any cancellation or rescheduling of lessons requires 24 hours notice. Any cancellation or rescheduling within 23 hours will be charged a USD10 fee unless the teacher waives the fee for her/his students.

Cantonese class with Dr. Kit

Our 7 year old son has been a student of Dr. Kit for about a year. He attends her Cantonese classes with his friends on a weekly basis. Dr. Kit comes highly recommended by our friend. She is kind, patient and engaging. Through readings, maths, storytelling, songs and games; our son has shown amazing progress! He is no longer shy to speak the language, and was even able to do a short presentation at the end of the year. Dr. Kit also organizes fun traditional festival celebrations, gatherings and outings where kids put their learnings in practical use. It is wonderful for us to meet other parents and students too. Thank you Dr. Kit! We are so lucky to have you as our Cantonese teacher!

Highly recommend Coral Lohsi!

We've really appreciated Coral Lohsi as my kids' Cantonese math teacher. My 3rd grader likes that the math is more challenging than the math he does in school, that she integrates characters that he likes into the word problems, and that she is very nice and patient. My 5th grader likes that she is a gentle teacher and helps him work through problems that he doesn't understand.

Cantonese class

My now 6 year old daughter has been a student of Dr. Kit for two years and weโ€™ve had an excellent experience. The class is focused on Cantonese language with math lessons seamlessly weaved in. Dr. Kit makes challenging content approachable and keeps the students engaged. My daughter especially enjoys the educational songs and games. Dr. Kit also provides insightful feedback and truly cares about her students and their progress. I highly recommend Camathories.

My 4-year-old son has played your game Goldilocks. He likes it very much! I think it is a very good learning game. You can listen to the story while playing math games. It is really fun, and it helps children to "associate" math with the games and their daily lives.

Very patient and organized teacher

My 7-year-old son has been taking Cantonese lessons with Dr. Kit/Camathories for several months. She is extremely patient and kind and does a great job of encouraging my son to speak more. She is also very organized and makes sure each lesson builds upon the previous one. She will tailor the classes to your wishes (we wanted more Cantonese than math and thatโ€™s what we are getting). Passionate Cantonese teacher

Dr. Kit is very knowledgeable in Hong Kong's children's games and she has a lot of patience in teaching my son Cantonese. I can see the improvement in my son's vocabulary and the willingness for him to read Chinese from her class. I can not ask for a better teacher and if I can choose, I want her to teach my son Cantonese and math throughout his entire education.

First Grader Now Loves Math

Our daughter was uninterested in math and struggling with some concepts. She was resistant to any help from us. After 8 sessions with Dr. Kit, we have seen an amazing transformation.
