About the tutor: Mr. Mike

I hold dual Master's degrees in Information Studies and Quantitative Finance, which have equipped me with a strong foundation in both technology and financial math. Throughout my professional career in the finance industry, I have consistently applied Python programming to streamline data analysis, automate reporting processes, and develop analytical tools to improve efficiency. While much of my Python use has been in a professional context, I also have a long-standing passion for teaching and mentoring. I have provided tutoring in mathematics and various academic subjects since high school and college, and I’ve continued to guide my children in their studies—giving me hands-on experience in explaining complex concepts in simple, engaging ways. I'm excited to bring this combination of technical knowledge and teaching experience to help beginners take their first steps in programming.

Teaching schedule (EDT):

a. Tues: 4pm - 7pm

b. Thur: 4pm - 8pm

c. Sun: 9pm - 12pm

Rescheduling policy

Any cancellation or rescheduling of lessons requires 24 hours notice. Any cancellation or rescheduling within 23 hours will be charged a USD10 fee unless the teacher waives the fee for her/his students.

Amazing teacher!

Ms. Coral is the math teacher for our two elementary school children, and we are incredibly grateful for her. First Grader Now Loves Math

Cantonese class with Dr. Kit

Our 7 year old son has been a student of Dr. Kit for about a year. He attends her Cantonese classes with his friends on a weekly basis. Dr. Kit comes highly recommended by our friend. She is kind, patient and engaging. Through readings, maths, storytelling, songs and games; our son has shown amazing progress! He is no longer shy to speak the language, and was even able to do a short presentation at the end of the year. Dr. Kit also organizes fun traditional festival celebrations, gatherings and outings where kids put their learnings in practical use. It is wonderful for us to meet other parents and students too. Highly recommend Coral Lohsi!

We've really appreciated Coral Lohsi as my kids' Cantonese math teacher. My 3rd grader likes that the math is more challenging than the math he does in school, that she integrates characters that he likes into the word problems, and that she is very nice and patient. Cantonese class
