About the tutor: Mr. Chi-Sun Chui

I placed 2nd in the 1989 Colorado Math Olympiad and graduated from high school at age 15. I went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Economics from MIT, graduating at age 19. While at MIT, I was inducted into both Eta Kappa Nu (top 10% of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science majors) and Tau Beta Pi (top 10% of the class) honor societies.

Following MIT, I worked as a software developer for four years before earning an MBA in Finance from Indiana University Bloomington, where I graduated at the top of my class. I then spent 15 years as an equity derivatives trader at major investment banks, including Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns, and HSBC.

I am now retired and I have been tutoring students for the past 12 years. I specialize in all levels of mathematics, with a particular focus on competition math (AMC 8/10/12, AIME). I also tutor computer science, finance, and economics.

In addition to my academic and professional experience, I was a member of the U.S. Men’s Table Tennis Team and won silver medals at the 1991 and 1995 Pan American Games.

If it takes the tutor excessive time to prepare for the lesson, he will charge an additional fee.

Rescheduling policy

Any cancellation or rescheduling of lessons requires 24 hours notice. Any cancellation or rescheduling within 23 hours will be charged a USD10 fee unless the teacher waives the fee for her/his students.
