Miss. Dia

Our English tutor, Miss Dia, is a graduate of Columbia University where she completed a bachelor’s degree in sociology and served as the managing editor for the university’s flagship student newspaper The Columbia Daily Spectator.


Miss Dia has experience working with students from the pre-K to high school level, particularly from her time as an early learning assistant and grader at a Kumon center in Indiana. Miss Dia also brings familiarity with numerous AP exams that she scored 5s on while in high school, including AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition, AP World History, AP U.S. History and AP European History.


Miss Dia also offers test prep support for the SAT reading section, which she scored an 800 on in high school.


Miss Dia is available for sessions online and in-person. For in-person sessions, Miss Dia is available to meet in Manhattan and Brooklyn at public libraries or cafes.


For group sessions, rates can be slightly adjusted per student.

Rescheduling policy

Any cancellation or rescheduling of lessons requires 24 hours notice. Any cancellation or rescheduling within 23 hours will be charged a USD10 fee unless the teacher waives the fee for her/his students.

Amazing teacher!

Ms. Coral is the math teacher for our two elementary school children, and we are incredibly grateful for her. First Grader Now Loves Math

Cantonese class with Dr. Kit

Our 7 year old son has been a student of Dr. Kit for about a year. He attends her Cantonese classes with his friends on a weekly basis. Dr. Kit comes highly recommended by our friend. She is kind, patient and engaging. Through readings, maths, storytelling, songs and games; our son has shown amazing progress! He is no longer shy to speak the language, and was even able to do a short presentation at the end of the year. Dr. Kit also organizes fun traditional festival celebrations, gatherings and outings where kids put their learnings in practical use. It is wonderful for us to meet other parents and students too. Highly recommend Coral Lohsi!

We've really appreciated Coral Lohsi as my kids' Cantonese math teacher. Cantonese class
